We simply told them, very respectfully: “If you don’t use your cashback… we’ll send it to your biggest rival.” And suddenly people started using it. Because this isn’t just football. This is pride. This is passion. You think they’re going to let their beer money end up in enemy hands? Jamais. Never. Suddenly, coupons were flying. Cold beers were ordered in seconds. And the marketing team?They started calling it “a strategic emotional trigger.”
